How it works
TrocOS is a time bank for communities. Members exchange skills and services with each other — no money involved. The currency is time: one hour of web design is worth one hour of copywriting, which is worth one hour of coaching.
Listings
Every member can post two kinds of listings:
- Offers — what you can do for others. "I can review your pitch deck", "I can help with Python scripting", "I can translate from English to Spanish".
- Requests — what you need help with. "Looking for someone to design a logo", "Need feedback on my landing page".
Listings are organized by categories (Design, Development, Marketing, and so on) so it's easy to browse what's available in your community.
Time balances
Each member starts with a small seed balance (typically 5 hours). When you help someone, your balance increases. When someone helps you, your balance decreases. Balances can go negative — the expectation is that you'll give back to the community over time.
You're not trading directly with one person. You help whoever needs your skills, earn time credits, and spend those credits with anyone else in the community.
Making an exchange
- Connect — browse listings or reach out to a member directly (chat happens on your community platform — Discord, Slack, wherever you already talk).
- Create an exchange — either party records the exchange: who helped whom, and for how many hours.
- Confirm — the other person receives a notification and confirms the details.
- Done — once both parties confirm, balances update automatically. The helper gains time, the recipient spends it.
That's it. No invoices, no negotiations, no money.
